Clifton Mill, is located in the town of Clifton, which is about 20 miles east of Dayton. The mill was built in 1802 and is the largest water powered grist mill remaining in the USA. It's on the Little Miami River and at the start of Clifton Gorge, yes Ohio does have gorges. They have a restaurant which has a great view over looks the gorge and a covered bridge, but the food wasn't very good, the service was just bad and everything was grossly overpriced. Next time we wait till we find a McDonald's.
If you walk around the town you will find a restored opera house a couple of general stores some beautiful old homes and a blacksmith building. The most famous thing to come out of Clifton, Ohio, the late Great Woody Hayes.
